Marvelous Men!

In our spring celebration of Mother Earth and Earth Day and Mother’s Day, the feminine has been acknowledged and Blessed.  In order to balance the Cosmos in acceptance and not in resistance, in this time of celebrating our Father’s,  our attention goes to the masculine, father, active side of life!

In the Tarot, the masculine energy shown in the Emperor card is sublime;  just this side of manifestation.  Keen awareness, eyesight, vision, strength, the symbol of Spirit encased in Matter.  Masculine is power, status, and authority balanced in rational intuitive understanding for active creative potency!

Osiris in Egyptian symbology is the protector of the weak and vulnerable, master protector of the hearth, friendship, and all beings. The masculine acts for the benefit of all.   Direct, outgoing, and forceful, the Father energy teaches us how to handle our materiality.  Masculine energy when in balance teaches us how to be of the World , and feminine energy in balance teaches us how to not be ” of the World”.  Both are essential when dealing with manifesting , making real what we desire, mana in matter.

The masculine brings ideas into tangible workable solid form.  It shows us how to steer our life and make necessary movement towards goals we have set.  Masculine leads, governs, reasons, and has self Mastery.

The Emperor in the Tarot is represented by Aries ruled by Mars.  Passion and organization. Logic and intellect are  predominant.  Symbolized as well by the Sun and Gold, whereas the Empress is symbolized by the Moon and Silver.  The Masculine is fair and just in balance,  and accentuates the aspects of Natural Law and Divinity, and is very willing to take on responsibility.  The Divine Masculine is a superb judge, has the power to command, knows the power of Life and Death, and is a wise Counselor and Friend.  A Lord of Light!

Masculine and Feminine in this sense are two equal opposite forces that all people have and work to balance. This essay is in acknowledgement of the Masculine, and on Father’s Day, of Men! Here’s to their bountiful intellect, loving strong hearts, handsome fine souls, and impressive admirable physiques!

No Compulsion to Move

No Compulsion to move,

Nor desire to do.

My world envelopes me

Like a cocoon.

All at once I understand

All there Is to comprehend.

I sit, I cry, I feel and think and move.

Yet there is nothing to do.

No Where to go.

No One to Be, except Myself.

No Compulsion to move,

Nor Desire to Do.

My World envelopes

Me like a Cocoon.

I am Transformed.

As I Go Deep

As I Go Deep

Within the Dark,

I see by the

Light of the Moon,

And my Soul

Takes the lead,

And brings me

To move, and

Sway to the

Heavenly tune.

It plays hard

And sweet,

Sad and complete,

All the while

I remain resolute

To the inner Darkness

And rich Vastness

Of unscathed

Perceptional loot.

All Along the Road

All along the road

On my Sunday hike,

What did I find?

Sunshine bright and clear,

Blue skies, no clouds,

And summer breezes.

Miller High Life,

Budweiser,

And Sunkist Orange,

Correctol, Advil,

And Coca Cola too.

Bottles, cans, and

Paper amongst the Wild!

A Prayer to the Wild

And Nature that

Humankind stop using

You as a dump.

Let us understand the

Value of the Grass and Trees,

The Mountains, the Prairies,

The Islands, the Seas!

Impermanence. Patience. Love.

Everything that exists will someday no longer exist. We live in a world where everything becomes obsolete. How do we live with these truths? Do we resist these realities or do we embrace them? When we resist impermanence, all we want is more. There is never enough and we are not satisfied for very long. Does this sound familiar?

As we embrace impermanence, appreciation emerges. Value opens to richness and blessedness. Everything becomes sacred. And then when we create and build our lives. we move from our being, not wanting to have or acquire.

It takes great patience and love to sit with and hold the emotions and uncomfortableness which arises as we hold this truth of impermanence in our consciousness. Are we asleep, awake, or aware to our resistance or do we surrender to knowing all matter changes form?  Do we try to push matter along or do we mold it realizing it is sacred form? When we see someone cut us off in the flow of traffic as we drive to our destinations, do we resist or embrace them?

When we create our lives like works of art and realize we are all sacred material, we move about the planet with patience and love. We slow down, and allow people, ideas, and all life forms to merge with us, realizing we are all connected. Embracing our impermanence allows us to be satiated, satisfied, happy, even joyful to be alive and be a part of a spectacular miracle called life. And embracing life this way, all problems of hunger, abuse, poverty, global warming and fossil fuel dependency will be solved. The canvas awaits our stroke. What colors will we paint? The artist remembers love is eternal.
